Full job description

About the Role:

As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds across multiple client locations. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team and focuses on supporting daily operations, preventive maintenance programs, and equipment reliability while delivering exceptional customer service.

This position is ideal for a customer-oriented and self-motivated professional who enjoys working independently while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The role operates on a day shift schedule with participation in an on-call rotation and requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems to keep facility and building systems operating at established standards.

  • Review assigned work orders, estimate labor and material requirements, and maintain adequate inventories of supplies, tools, and equipment needed to complete repairs and maintenance activities.

  • Implement and support preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their expected service life, while coordinating repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.

  • Inspect building and industrial systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing systems, to verify equipment is operating within design specifications and meeting environmental conditions required by the client.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental requirements, and company policies related to building operations and workplace safety.

  • Operate company-issued vehicles as part of daily job responsibilities and facility support activities.

  • Apply advanced knowledge of maintenance principles, procedures, and building systems to complete complex assignments, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective solutions.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Build consensus, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and help drive alignment across teams.

  • Support a variety of customer, operational, project, and service-related activities that impact both your team and other related groups.

  • Work independently within established guidelines, policies, and procedures while exercising sound judgment in day-to-day operations.

  • Communicate and explain complex, difficult, or sensitive information clearly and professionally to clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification and a valid driver's license are required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Meet the physical requirements of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and the ability to lift or carry loads of 50 pounds or more.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions and continuously improve processes.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related applications.

  • Excellent organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset and strong attention to detail.
