Full job description

Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses within the program area. Prepares materials needed for course instruction and testing. Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules. Uses learning management systems to communicate with students, faculty, and staff. Participates in the collection of student learning outcomes. Assists the Welding Technology Program Director with timely notification of any shortfall in supplies or equipment needed for lab instruction. Conducts lectures, discussion, and other teaching activities. Relates instruction and material to course objective. Provides students with course syllabi and correlates grade assignment with skill and course competency. Submits grades, reports and records in a timely manner. Remains current in field. Must have a broad knowledge of the Welding Technology industry with specific knowledge in the areas of teaching Welding. The faculty member needs to have a minimum of an Associate's degree in Welding Technology or a related field and three to five years direct practical experience working. This position will be located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus

An associates degree in Welding Technology or related field and three (3) years of direct practical experience in the area of Welding Technology. Must have a broad knowledge of the Welding Technology Industry with the specific knowledge in the area(s) of Welding Technology. Five (5) years of direct practical experience in the area of Welding Technology.
