Job Description

We are seeking a skilled individual to read and interpret blueprints to determine the sequence and methods for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products. The role involves performing all deburring operations, stripping remaining maskant and silastic from finished chem mill parts, and removing burrs and sharp edges using various hand tools and materials. The successful candidate will smooth edges and remove build-ups with air or electric equipment using abrasive disks and sleeves.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine fabrication, assembly, and installation methods.

• Perform all deburring operations on sheet metal products.

• Strip remaining maskant and silastic from finished chem mill parts.

• Remove burrs and sharp edges using hand tools and materials such as files and edge breakers.

• Smooth edges and remove build-ups using air or electric equipment with abrasive disks and sleeves.

Work Environment

Work in an aerospace production and machine shop environment, manufacturing a variety of structural parts and advanced electronics for some of the world's largest aerospace and defense Original Equipment Manufacturers. The Gardena location focuses on aerostructure facility work on the fuselage sections and wing for the Airbus A220/A320 and Boeing 737/787.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gardena, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
