Full job description

Job Duties

This is a full-time on-site role for a TV News MMJ (Multimedia Journalist) at Lakeland PBS in Brainerd, MN. The TV News MMJ will be responsible for daily news writing, reporting, filming, and editing news stories for television and digital platforms. The role will involve conducting research, interviewing subjects, and collaborating with the news team to cover local, regional, and national news. Minimum Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field

Minimum Experience Required

  • Strong News Writing, Writing, and Communication skills

  • Experience in Broadcasting and Multimedia Journalism

  • A keen eye for details and the ability to research and report news stories effectively

  • Proficiency in video editing software and camera operation

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to changing news situations

  • Experience in investigative journalism is a plus
