Job Summary

Provide support to the Workers' Compensation Department in the management of WC Claims in accordance with state laws and regulations.

This role is onsite 3 days a week (Mondays and Thursdays are mandatory, third day is your choice) at our American Seaway Foods (ASF) office - 5300 Richmond Road, Bedford Heights, OH 44146 Job Description

Experience Required: 1 to 3 years of data entry, clerical admin Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent Travel Required: None

Job Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate data of entry of all new accident reports into WC data management system/corresponding with store/RSC personnel as needed.
  • Process fee bill denials, as established within dept. guidelines.
  • Schedule of independent medical exams as directed by manager/analyst. Prepare file for review and submit file materials to medical provider and injured worker in advance of scheduled exam/follow on reports.
  • Scan documents into WC system, to include medical documentation for PA claims, maintain clear, accurate and factual documentation of claims activities within established dept. guidelines.
  • Manage and distribution of incoming mail, faxes, phone/email correspondence from internal and external customers within established dept. guidelines.
  • Follow-up on daily assigned tasks, i.e. previous injury letter questionnaires, send modified duty off-site weekly time sheets to payroll, follow-up on any missing sheets.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Other administrative duties as necessary to meet departmental needs
  • Participate in team meetings and provide ideas, suggestions and feedback to promote effective program management.
