Job Duties
-
Prepare complete and accurate individual and business tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.

Conduct comprehensive client interviews to assess financial circumstances, life events, and tax implications, while providing tailored recommendations.
-
Build and maintain trusted client relationships through professional, consultative, and empathetic service.

Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend relevant H&R Block products and services to meet client needs.

Assist clients with IRS correspondence, tax notices, audit support, and related tax matters as needed.

Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
Minimum Education Required
-
Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience Required
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparation of both individual and business tax returns.

Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax topics in clear, client-friendly language.
-
Ability to meet all continuing education requirements and maintain compliance with IRS and applicable state regulations.
