Job Title: Adjunct Instructor - Radiologic Technology (Part-Time)Agency: Atlanta Technical College Job Requisition ID: JR0000004378Shift: Any (United States of America)Compensation Details: LUMP SUM PER COURSE Job Description: Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor – Radiologic Technology (Part-Time) position in the Academic and Student Affairs Division, Health and Public Safety Department. This position is located at Atlanta Tech's Main campus just south of Downtown Atlanta.
Under the general supervision of the Dean of Health and Public Safety and the Radiologic Technology Program Chair, the Adjunct Instructor – Radiologic Technology (Part-Time) will be responsible for providing instruction in Radiologic Technology by assisting students in their learning process by utilizing all appropriate college resources, materials, facilities and educational technologies. This is a part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Execute the standards of the program of an accredited Radiologic Technology program to include performing all aspects of instruction for Radiologic Technology courses.
- Use a variety of teaching techniques available to complete the teaching and learning process.
- Use of appropriate assessment, testing, grading, student feedback and record-keeping procedures.
- Plan, develop, and instruct program related material to students on various platforms.
- Hands on instruction in on-campus lab to reinforce material and objectives from lecture.
- Travel to various affiliated clinical sites to visit program students while in clinicals and complete various program requirements such as competency verifications.
- Develop course syllabi, goals and objectives.
- Evaluate student progress in attaining goals and objectives.
- Attend staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences.
- Assist in academic support services, including advisement and tutoring, and attending graduation events.
- Correlate clinical education with didactic education as assigned by the program director.
- Facilitate and/or provides appropriate and adequate clinical instruction for the students.
- Coordinate clinical education and evaluate its effectiveness through a schedule of regular visits to the clinical education sites.
- Facilitate and /or provide clinical competency evaluation for each student assigned to the clinical site; and
- Perform additional duties, as assigned.

- Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with adult learners
Minimum Qualifications: Must possess and demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or health related field from an accredited college or university and graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
- Registered Radiographer with at least one (1) year experience in diagnostic radiography.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in diagnostic Radiography.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
- Master’s degree or higher in education or health related field from an accredited college or university
- Three (3) or more years of experience in diagnostic Radiography.
- Two (2) or more years of instructional experience; demonstrating appropriate teaching methods, maintaining lab and classrooms, work with clinical competency system per AART and program requirements.
- Knowledge of JRCERT accreditation process.
- Registered for MRI and Mammography.
May be required to teach at other locations and other locations within the community
