Optum is transforming health care through innovation, data, and technology. We're seeking a Revenue Integrity Supervisor to support Allina Health by optimizing revenue cycle performance, charge capture accuracy, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement outcomes.
In this role, you will supervise and support activities of all charge description master and revenue integrity functions, manage day-to-day operations including staff supervision, issue resolution, individual productivity, and act as a technical resource. This role provides ongoing support and developmental guidance by analyzing performance metrics, providing performance feedback and conducting training and other educational opportunities. You will leverage Epic expertise, revenue integrity knowledge, and data analysis skills to identify opportunities for process improvement, revenue optimization, and operational efficiency.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:

Lead Revenue Integrity operations and daily department functions
-
Supervise, coach, and develop Revenue Integrity staff
-
Monitor productivity, quality, and performance metrics
-
Oversee charge capture, charge reconciliation, and charge description master (CDM) maintenance
-
Identify and resolve revenue leakage opportunities
-
Coordinate audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action plans
-
Serve as a subject matter expert for charging and reimbursement processes
-
Partner with clinical, finance, coding, compliance, information technology, and operational teams to improve revenue cycle outcomes

Support Epic implementations, enhancements, and strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience in healthcare billing, charge capture, medical coding, or revenue cycle operations
-
5+ years of experience supporting facility-based clinical operations within a healthcare system
-
5+ years of Epic experience, preferably supporting Revenue Integrity, Revenue Assurance, or Chargemaster functions
-
Experience with revenue cycle processes, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements
-
Knowledge of Charge Description Master (CDM) maintenance, CPT/HCPCS codes, revenue codes, and hospital cost center structures
-
Advanced skills in data analysis, reporting, spreadsheets, and database tools

Ability to work 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time
Preferred Qualifications:
-
AHIMA or AAPC certification
-
5+ years of leadership experience
-
Experience supporting large, complex health systems
-
Experience with denial reduction, revenue cycle optimization, and charge capture improvement initiatives

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer billing requirements
-
Demonstrated solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
