Sr. AI Engineer

Job Description

A customer is looking for a GenAI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications that leverage large language models (LLMs), embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks to solve complex business problems. This individual will use Python to build scalable APIs, data pipelines, and backend services while integrating and optimizing GenAI solutions. Responsibilities include developing and evaluating prompts and models, improving response quality through testing and evaluation frameworks, and ensuring AI applications can effectively retrieve and utilize enterprise data. The engineer will work with Snowflake to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage needs, assist with basic ETL processes, and help prepare data for AI use cases. They will also support deployment and monitoring activities within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions, and leverage GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and improve code quality. The ideal candidate combines software engineering expertise with hands-on GenAI experience and a strong understanding of the end-to-end AI application lifecycle.
