Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The Ladle Wall Technician maintains and prepares ladle components and supports ladle and tundish operations, working closely with Casting Operations, the LMF Operator, and Maintenance. Teammates must be willing to cross-train in other positions within the department and fill in as needed to support operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

  • Willing/able to withstand high temperature working conditions.

  • Willing/able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Technical Ability- Has the pertinent experience, skills and technical set to excel in this role. Learn new skills quickly and has the ability to train others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current or previous experience working in Melt Shop
