Day-to-Day:

  • Review, abstract, organize, and administer commercial contracts within the contract management system
  • Clear contract administration backlog and ensure historical contracts are properly entered and tracked
  • Monitor contract milestones, renewal dates, expirations, and compliance obligations
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding contract status and required follow-up actions
  • Support contract amendments, extensions, and terminations as needed
  • Maintain corporate records and legal department documentation
  • Assist with training employees on contract management processes and systems
  • Process approximately 10-20 contracts per day initially while addressing backlog
  • Eventually support intake and management of new incoming contracts
  • Gain exposure to contract drafting and negotiation of less complex agreements over time
  • Assist with creation and completion of templates, SOWs, and Master Product Service Agreements

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Contract Administrator for a leading specialty ingredients and manufacturing organization. This individual will join a lean legal and contracts team and play a critical role in supporting the company's contract management function. The position will initially focus on clearing a large contract backlog, reviewing, and organizing commercial agreements, tracking key contract milestones, and ensuring accurate data entry into the company's contract lifecycle management system. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with early legal or contract administration experience who is eager to grow. As they become established in the role, they will gain exposure to contract drafting, contract negotiations, SOW creation, and more complex legal agreements. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, intellectually curious, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with significant contract volume. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to learn quickly will be key to long-term success and conversion onto the client's team.

Compensation: $25/hr to $30/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ year of experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, managing, or administering contracts and legal documents o Experience reviewing and processing commercial contracts o Strong written and verbal communication skills o Detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work o Highly adaptable, inquisitive, and comfortable asking questions

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word (including redlines), and Excel

  • Experience working within contract management systems or document management platforms

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up with stakeholders

  • Experience with Conga Contracts or similar contract management software

  • Experience drafting Statements of Work (SOWs), service agreements, or master agreements

  • Corporate records management experience

  • Document retention or compliance experience
