Job Description

Job Title: Food Service Manager

Reports To: Store Director

SUMMARY

We are looking for a professional food service manager to be responsible for managing all operations inside of our state of the art supermarkets. The successful candidate will be able to forecast, plan and manage all orders, staff and financial results. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are included but not limited to:

  • Manage day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.

  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service.

  • Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns.

  • Lead food service team by training and appraising talented personnel.

  • Establish targets, schedules, policies and procedures.

  • Provide two way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork.

  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.

  • Report to management regarding sales results and productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must possess the appropriate level of computer skills, especially the Microsoft Office family of products, to succeed in a technical business environment. Ability to create and develop the reporting required by management through a timely and efficient and accurate process. Ability to analyze an existing spreadsheet or reporting tool to identify and address questions regarding specific content or results.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to identify certain business assumptions based on a presented set of variables and create a business model based upon the same.
