Production Welder – 1st Shift Mon–Thu | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Starting at $21.00/hr Ready to build something that matters? Why You Matter: As a Production Welder at Lantech, you will be part of a skilled team responsible for fabricating the steel components that form the foundation of our stretch wrapping and conveyor systems. Your welding expertise directly impacts the quality, durability, and performance of the machines we deliver to customers around the world. What You’ll Do:

Perform MIG welding, including loading and unloading fixtures and welding standard components
-
Weld mild steel to fabricate scale base assemblies and other structural components
-
Grind surface welds to ensure a smooth finish that meets paint-quality standards
-
Operate shop equipment including a radial arm drill press and saw
-
Work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
-
Support team operations by backfilling cells as needed
-
Work overtime as required to meet production schedules and project deadlines
-
Must pass and maintain Pulse Welding Certification
Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to stand for 9–10 hours per shift
-
Manual dexterity to maneuver equipment and materials during welding
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
What Are We Looking For? (Requirements) We are looking for someone who:
-
Has at least one (1) year of MIG welding experience with the ability to pass a pulse assessment (pulse welding experience is a plus)
-
Can read and follow instructions in English, including blueprints and standard work documents
-
Is a self-starter who is detail-oriented and committed to quality and safety
-
Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
-
Practices safe work habits individually and with team members
-
Follows PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines
-
Is team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Can follow both written and verbal instructions
-
Thrives in a fast-paced production environment
-
Has reliable attendance
-
Is willing and able to work overtime as needed

Is customer-focused with a strong commitment to quality and production schedules

Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Can pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
Education & Experience:
-
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols strongly preferred
-
Ability to read a tape measure
-
Experience welding outside of a fixture is a plus
-
Experience operating a saw and drill press required (prior machining experience strongly desired)
-
High school diploma or equivalent required (vocational or trade school training is a plus)
