Data Center Construction Project Manager

Job Description

The Data Center Construction Project Manager will play a key role in establishing and supporting an Integrated Project Delivery Center (IPDC) focused on proactively mitigating project risk and ensuring successful data center delivery. This individual will serve as the central escalation point for construction and commissioning issues, coordinating communication across multiple trades and stakeholders, de-escalating critical situations, and driving resolution to maintain schedule and operational objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong construction project management experience with data center expertise and the ability to help define and refine project delivery processes in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary escalation point for construction, commissioning, and operational issues, driving rapid resolution of risks impacting project schedules or delivery milestones.
• Coordinate communication and activities across multiple trades, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution continuity.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence and delivery objectives.
• Help develop, standardize, and improve project delivery processes within the Integrated Project Delivery Center, enhancing consistency and risk mitigation across projects.
• Facilitate daily coordination efforts between construction, commissioning, electrical, and operations teams, ensuring critical issues are communicated, prioritized, and resolved effectively.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of Project Management experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong background in data center construction, commissioning, or electrical infrastructure environments.
• Experience managing and coordinating multiple contractors, subcontractors, and trades throughout project execution.
• Proven ability to de-escalate complex project issues, drive cross-functional communication, and resolve challenges impacting schedule or delivery.
• Strong understanding of construction project controls, scheduling, risk management, and execution within a fast-paced operational environment.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with commissioning activities, EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems), and/or BMS (Building Management Systems).
• Electrical engineering, electrical construction, or mission-critical power infrastructure experience.
