Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week

Contract: 2026-2027 School Year

Position Overview

We're seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This role will support students across multiple school sites, helping them develop essential skills that promote success in the classroom and everyday activities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

  • Implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions

  • Assist with student assessments and data collection

  • Document student progress and services provided

  • Collaborate with therapists, educators, and families

  • Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and functional skills

  • Travel between school sites as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Active California COTA license/certification

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Pediatric or school-based experience preferred

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Passion for supporting student success

Compensation

Up to $45/hour for local candidates

?? Travel packages available for qualified travelers , including housing and meal stipends.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of practice

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy Assistant required

  • One (1) year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred

  • Pediatric experience preferred

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
