Employment Type: Full timeShift:

Description: Travel between Waterloo, Mason City and Des Moines will be required. This position is a 100% on-site role between the 3 locations.

Position Purpose: The HME Divisional Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for Home Medical Equipment (HME) services at assigned MercyOne site(s). This role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and patient-centered operations through strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, compliance, and performance management. The HME Divisional Manager fosters a supportive environment for colleague growth and development, while aligning departmental goals with MercyOne’s mission and values.

What you will do:

  • Demonstrates and promotes MercyOne’s mission, core values, and caring principles.

  • Leads HME operations, including financial oversight, staff performance, and professional development.

  • Collaborate with Regional Director and other HME Managers to align strategies and improve services across MercyOne.

  • Develops and implements policies, goals, and action plans to improve clinical and operational performance.

  • Facilitates change management and build consensus on complex issues.

  • Apply leadership skills to resolve operational challenges and drive team engagement.

  • Improves service quality and effectiveness through strategic direction and oversight.

  • Ensures efficient use of financial and human resources.

  • Monitors budgets, analyzes variances, and identifies growth opportunities.

  • Maintains compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

  • Promotes MercyOne HME positively and empowers staff to meet customer needs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Regional Director HME or VP.

Hours/Schedule:

  • Full Time/Days

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in HME.

  • Strong knowledge of Home Medical Equipment (HME) products, services, and reimbursement guidelines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in health or business-related field preferred.

  • Clinical background preferred.

  • Proven ability to lead change, improve performance, and manage complex operations.

  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and team development.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

  • Advanced business and project management skills to drive strategic initiatives
