Job Duties
We are seeking a Materials Engineer with 2 to 10 years of experience to support medical device products through materials testing, characterization, failure analysis, and regulatory compliance activities. This role partners with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges, support product development, and ensure material performance in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct laboratory testing, materials characterization, and failure analysis.

Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to develop technical solutions.

Review technical documentation and extract critical information to support business and product objectives.
Minimum Education Required
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum Experience Required
Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of materials and their interactions with the body and environment, including the ability to correlate material properties with product performance and failure modes.

Understanding of materials-related regulations and standards, including ISO 10993, EU MDR, RoHS, and California Proposition 65.

Experience with materials characterization techniques and analytical testing methods.

2 to 10 years of relevant industry experience.
Preferred:
-
Experience in the medical device or other regulated industries.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
