Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for operating the extrusion lines independently and efficiently. Assist shift supervisor in operating all production areas. Performs tasks in compliance with Work Instructions to ensure quality and productivity standards are met.

Essential Functions:

Effectively start up, shutdown, and changeover both extrusion lines.

Ensure extrusion lines operate at peak efficiency.

Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and recommend improvements.

Ensure plastic sheets and rolls meet or exceed customer and MDI standards.

Ensure all team members are adequately trained.

Ensure all employees times are properly assigned to production manufacturing orders.

Works independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Employ effective, respectful and persuasive spoken and written communication skills.

Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.

Ensure adherence to all current company policies.

Ensure effective employee relations.

Troubleshoot equipment, techniques, and processes.

Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment.

Assist with department cleanliness and housekeeping.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1 year or more related experience.

Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.)

Ability to effectively read, interpret and communicate industry and customer specific documentation.

Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.

Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.

Environment and Physical Demands:

8 or 10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday; work during non-traditional hours (weekends and evenings) required.

Continuously works in a typical factory environment (high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations.)

Occasionally works in a typical office setting which includes;

Continuously sit, use of computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard, standard telephone, hearing and talking.

Continuously walk, and stand.

Occasionally drive fork lift.

Occasionally stoop, sit, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, hear, max lift of 50 lbs.
