The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Lecturer position.

About the College:
The Texas Tech University College of Arts & Sciences was founded in 1925 as one of the university's four original colleges. Comprised of 16 departments, the college offers a wide variety of courses and programs in the humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, and natural sciences. The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer position in Chemistry, broadly defined.
Major/Essential Functions:
At Texas Tech University, the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer title designates a full-time, non-tenure-acquiring role with primary duties in teaching organized classes and/or instructional labs. In line with TTU’s strategic priorities to engage and empower a student body, applicants should have experience working with various student populations at the undergraduate level.

Faculty Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Chemistry, or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment.

Demonstrated or a record indicative of excellence in undergraduate teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications, individuals with the following preferred qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:

Experience as instructor-of-record for college-level chemistry lecture or laboratory courses.

Experience utilizing active learning methodologies and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).

Experience coordinating multi-section courses.
