Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: Lead Recreational Therapist-Sunnyview Rehab Hospital

If you are looking for a leadership role and are a licensed recreational therapist, this position at a state of the art physical rehab facility could be your opportunity!

What you will do:

  • As a Lead Recreational Therapist, you will oversee recreational therapy services provided for Sunnyview patients. Approximately 50% of time is devoted to direct patient care and the remaining 50% devoted to management duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct patient care includes evaluation, formulation of plan of care, and treatment appropriate to age specific programs based and functional needs of the patients.
  • Management duties are directed towards ensuring smooth department operations so to achieve annual quality and budget goals.
  • Ensures clinical services are provided in accordance to professional, organizational and compliance standards.
  • Manages and monitors department’s schedule to achieve efficient use of resources.
  • Manages and supports staff, ensures clinical competencies and conducts performance reviews.
  • Leads department efforts in patient safety and process improvement. Supports Program Manager in developing, monitoring, and managing budgets so to achieve annual goals.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed to achieve annual operating goals. Assist Manager in identifying marketing strategies, and implementing within available resources.

What you will need:

  • Must be credentialed as Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
  • 2 years of clinical experience with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills requiring tack, diplomacy, and flexibility when in contact with physicians, patients, families, other professionals, and hospital staff.
  • Excellent clinical skills in diverse treatment approaches.

Pay Range: $29.81-37.99 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
