Standard Job Description

Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required to apply

• Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance &/or production operations.

• Experience supporting vehicle systems installations & integration into a final product. Experience should include some combination of the following systems: electrical harness installation, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, propulsion systems, avionics, and related systems and/or Structures assembly experience

• Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvements

• Experience with some combination of the following: experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including: composite fabrication, structural assembly, machining, bonded assemblies &/or installations.

• Active Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years AND Ability to obtain special program access

Desired Skills

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related technical field

• Experience with various PLM systems including SAP, iBase-t (Solumina), Teamcenter, and/or SFM

• Experience supporting various projects and coordinating activities related to the full life cycle of projects from conception to delivery

• Working knowledge of one or more organizations including: Operations, IT, Planning, Production Control, ERP, MRP, Quality or systems integration.

• Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plan to limit failures in the future.

• Demonstrated ability to solve logistical issues and lead efforts to drive mission success.

• Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications and manufacturing planning.

• Previous experience incorporating model based engineering into manufacturing plans.Experience with MRP system or SAP or other Manufacturing Execution System (MES) application

• Experience with Catia

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
