Job Description

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Scheduler I for a top heavy civil construction client. This is a developmental opportunity for an early-career Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or field operations professional who wants to transition into scheduling. The candidate must have field-based construction experience, including a relevant engineering internship, that provides an understanding of project sequencing and how construction work is performed. Heavy civil or horizontal construction experience is strongly preferred.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • 1 to 3 years of combined internship and post-graduate heavy civil construction experience (roadways, bridges, etc.)
  • Civil engineering, field engineering, or field operations internship experience
  • Post-graduate Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or field operations experience
  • Field-based understanding of construction sequencing and how work is performed
  • Interest in transitioning into and growing within project scheduling
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Heavy civil or horizontal construction experience
  • Roadway, bridge, highway, utility, rail, or infrastructure project experience
  • Scheduling or project controls experience gained after working in the field
  • Exposure to Primavera P6, CPM scheduling, look-ahead schedules, or progress tracking
