Position Description:

Performs central accounting and financial analysis functions according to established procedures.

Major/Essential Functions:

• Provides financial and administrative support for departmental operations, including procurement, accounts payable, billing, revenue processing, and financial transaction review.

• Processes and monitors financial transactions in institutional systems to ensure accuracy, compliance with policies and procedures, and timely completion of activities.

• Reviews invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation to verify accuracy, proper funding, and compliance with institutional requirements.

• Assists with procurement and encumbrance management activities, including monitoring purchase order activity and processing related financial transactions.

• Supports departmental billing, revenue collection, and cash receipt functions, including customer invoicing, payment reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding balances.

• Maintains financial records and supporting documentation and assists with routine financial reporting and transaction review activities.

• Communicates with departments, vendors, and customers regarding financial transactions, documentation requirements, and resolution of financial issues.

• Remain current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.

• Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
