Position Description:
Performs professional level analysis and control functions in area of assignment.
Texas Tech Health El Paso (TTEP) is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those with H1B visas or those currently on student or postgraduate visas.

Major/Essential Functions:

Performs professional level analysis and independently manages functions in faculty records and faculty appointments.

Proactively maintains data integrity of the Faculty Information System (FIS) and performs data and records management functions, including the conversion and maintenance of faculty records in electronic databases and filing systems.

Maintains the medical school's information in the national AAMC Faculty database, including accurate faculty demographic and appointment data. Initiates and maintains faculty records, including original contracts and verifications required for compliance.

Processes faculty application forms for prospective non-salaried faculty by performing primary source verification of credentials, preparing executive summaries for CFAPTA review, and tracking prospective faculty appointment candidates throughout the recruitment and faculty appointment process.

Collaborates with the Office of Credentialing and Enrollment on credentialing verifications in support of faculty appointment request files.

Analyzes faculty appointment packet submissions for the appointment of new faculty through the Faculty Appointments Committee for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established institutional criteria.

Performs professional-level analysis of appointment files to identify missing documentation, discrepancies, or red flags; collaborates with departments and internal stakeholders to resolve issues; and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate.

Coordinates the faculty appointments review process of the FSOM Committee on Faculty Appointments, Tenure and Promotion, and Comprehensive Performance Evaluation.

Provides back-up coverage for faculty requisition approvals in Kenexa to support recruitment.

Orders office supplies and processes purchasing requisitions in TechBuy.

Prepares and submits Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFs) for non-salaried faculty.

Coordinates the FSOM annual faculty evaluation process and provides administrative support for school-level faculty governance, including the Steering Committee, Faculty Council, standing committees, and ad hoc committees.

Serves as Project Manager for at least one assigned major faculty services project or event.

Executes faculty services programs related to faculty retention and satisfaction, including the Annual Faculty Recognition Banquet, Doctors' Day, Nurses Day, Dentist Day recognition functions, and the Faculty of the Year Award Program.

Develops flyers, posters, brochures, programs, menus, invitations, and other marketing materials.

Establishes positive working relationships with leadership, faculty, and department staff while providing customer service support.

Remain current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory compliances and trainings required for this position.

Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
