Employment Type: Part timeShift: 12 Hour Day Shift Description: ​Position Summary: Provides consistent leadership of nursing personnel and supports patient focused collaborative care in a shared governance environment. Responsible for coordinating, facilitating and integrating the optimal provision of service on each unit. In conjunction with this, other responsibilities include providing clinical expertise coaching/mentoring of staff and customer service. Assumes responsibility for the nursing units when Clinical Managers are not present.

What the Housewide RN Nursing Supervisor will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.

  • Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred.

  • Two years' experience as RN Staff Nurse with demonstrated leadership required, preferably work experience concurrently in appropriate specialty area. Ability to meet all behaviors of the RN Staff Nurse Job description.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Leadership experience and / or other experience / licensure / certifications aligned with area of responsibility and assignment

What the Housewide RN Nursing Supervisor will do:

  • Frontline, department-based, direct or indirect healthcare department / program

  • Formally / informally supervises daily & / or house functions of charge nurses, professional & frontline staff (multidisciplinary team) of assigned department

  • May or may not have direct report relationships

  • May be accountable for the staff coordination, scheduling & assignment or throughput

  • May participate in & contributes to the performance management / review process

  • Contributes to the daily performance, daily adherence to regulatory requirements & drives results of team within assigned department

  • Implements departmental plans & priorities identified by accountable nurse leaders.
