This position utilizes noninvasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology to take images, which are used to diagnose, evaluate, and treat a variety of medical issues. Supports the organization in fulfilling the mission, vision, and values of Logan Health.

Join Our Team as an MRI Technologist!

Location : Logan Health Medical Center – Kalispell, Montana Schedule: PRN | 12-Hour Shifts

Qualifications :

  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)(MR) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR certified by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional software as needed.

ARRT-Certified Technologist Requirements:

  • Registered in Magnetic Resonance (MR) by ARRT or must successfully obtain MR certification through ARRT within eighteen (18) months of hire.

  • Montana State Radiologic Technologist License as required by law.

ARMRIT-Certified Technologist Requirements:

  • Current ARMRIT certification with proof of certification upon hire.

  • Must maintain ARMRIT certification.

Driver Requirements, if applicable:

  • Current Driver’s License required.

  • Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect major driving offenses.

  • Personal vehicles used for Logan Health business must meet Montana minimum liability coverage requirements.

Job Specific Duties :

  • Performs beginning- and end-of-day duties according to department procedures and assigned area.

  • Maintains appropriate supplies and assists with monitoring expiration dates.

  • Follows all required magnet and safety procedures.

  • Reports equipment malfunctions, errors, and safety concerns according to department protocol.

  • Obtains patient history, reason for procedure, and other exam-related information to support appropriate imaging and diagnosis.

  • Prepares patients for exams, including venipuncture and I-stat responsibilities as applicable.

  • Provides patients with appropriate follow-up and post-exam instructions.

  • Reviews orders, prior exams, laboratory results, and patient history and completes required documentation.

  • Drives to service locations as required for applicable assignments.

Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based on departmental needs. Other related responsibilities may be assigned consistent with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Shift:

Day Shift - Variable Hours (United States of America)

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
