We are seeking an Administrative Specialist II, who is motivated to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges and achieve long-term wellness. This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, G. Werber Bryan Psychiatric Hospital, 220 Faison Drive, Columbia SC 29203. As the Administrative Specialist II, you will provide administrative support with a moderate level of individual and/or customer accountability.
Responsibilities for the Administrative Specialist II:• Assist in evaluating the activities of a clerical staff.

Provide a variety of administrative support and advanced office duties, such as typing, filing and stenography.

Coordinate workshop activities in institutions for physically or mentally challenged residents.

Process personnel transactions; compiles and maintains personnel records.

Provide knowledge, verify and records information from members of the public.

A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Post hire, employee must:• Some positions assigned to this class require a commercial driver's license.
