About the Role
We operate three FASTSIGNS locations in the Houston area and are looking for a Houston-based Content Marketing Manager / Producer to build and manage an ongoing content engine around the real customer projects our teams produce every day.
This is a hybrid field-production and content-marketing role. You’ll regularly visit our locations and customer jobsites throughout the Houston area to capture photo and video content, while handling much of the planning, editing, writing and publishing remotely.
We’re not simply looking for someone to post on social media. We want someone who can proactively identify worthwhile projects, coordinate with our teams, capture compelling content, and turn that material into marketing assets that help generate business.
What You’ll Do
-
Communicate with our three locations about upcoming projects and installations
-
Proactively identify projects worth documenting
-
Coordinate and visit our locations and customer jobsites for content capture
-
Shoot high-quality photography and video, including before/during/after project content
-
Edit short-form video and photography
-
Develop project-focused stories and copy
-
Create and publish content for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Google Business Profile
-
Help turn strong projects into website case studies and portfolio content
-
Repurpose individual projects into multiple useful marketing assets
-
Build and organize a searchable library of content by location, product and customer industry
-
Develop a practical content calendar centered primarily around real customer work rather than generic filler content
-
Track performance and help determine which content contributes to leads and business growth
What We’re Trying to Build
Our work is highly visual and includes exterior signage, dimensional lettering, wall graphics, vehicle graphics, banners, displays, wayfinding, architectural signage and other commercial graphics.
One strong customer project might become:
-
A short-form video
-
Professional finished-project photography
-
A LinkedIn project story
-
Google Business Profile content
-
Instagram/Facebook content
-
A website case study
-
Email content
-
Sales material our team can send to similar prospects
The goal isn’t simply more posts or followers. We want to build a repeatable system that documents our best work, improves our local visibility, gives prospective customers confidence in our capabilities, supports our sales team and keeps us top-of-mind with existing customers.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate combines content marketing judgment with strong photo/video production skills.
You should:
-
Be based in the Houston area and able to regularly travel (locally) to locations and customer jobsites
-
Have strong photography and videography skills
-
Be comfortable owning projects from idea through finished content
-
Understand content strategy and social media distribution
-
Be organized and proactive enough to coordinate opportunities across three locations
-
Understand that the purpose of the content is ultimately to help grow a B2B business
Experience creating content for construction, commercial real estate, architecture, manufacturing, automotive, home services or other visually interesting B2B/local businesses is especially relevant.
We’re open to an individual who personally handles the entire process or someone who uses additional editing/design resources, as long as one person owns the process and outcome.
Flexible work from home options available.
