Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking an IT Delivery Manager to oversee roadmap execution, delivery cadence, and partner coordination across multiple IT initiatives. This role enables the IT Senior Manager to focus on strategic leadership by ensuring projects are executed, tracked, and communicated effectively.

This is a coordination-focused role that does not include people management responsibilities or ownership of architecture and product decisions. Instead, the Delivery Manager ensures decisions are executed, dependencies are managed, and progress is transparent to stakeholders.

What You Will Own IT Roadmap Management: Maintain the IT roadmap as a living plan, including sequencing, dependencies, resource capacity, and status across all IT disciplines. Ensure information remains current and actionable. Delivery Cadence: Facilitate weekly stand-ups and delivery review meetings, manage escalations, and ensure teams remain aligned on priorities and commitments. Release & Cutover Coordination: Track status, risks, and dependencies through go-live and cutover activities. While the IT Senior Manager retains overall program ownership, you will ensure plans remain accurate, blockers are visible, and execution stays on track. Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate with ERP implementation partners, AI consulting firms, and other vendors. Lead recurring touchpoints, track deliverables, and reconcile invoices against contracted scope of work. Intake & Prioritization Process: Manage a standardized intake process that captures business challenges, ownership, expected value, urgency, and effort estimates before work is scheduled. Executive Reporting: Deliver concise weekly status reports for leadership and maintain monthly roadmap updates for steering committee review. Decision Tracking: Document key decisions and action items, ensuring accountability and follow-through to completion. Process Documentation & Handover: Develop and document delivery cadences, templates, and intake processes so they can be successfully transitioned and sustained long-term.

Skills and Requirements

Experience coordinating at least one multi-team technology program from initiation through go-live. Proven ability to maintain project plans and backlogs in Jira or a comparable project management platform. Ability to manage scope effectively, including communicating tradeoffs and prioritization decisions. Experience coordinating external delivery partners and managing work against a statement of work (SOW). Strong written communication skills with the ability to create concise executive-level status reports. Experience supporting ERP implementations or cutovers involving platforms such as Acumatica, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar solutions. Background in manufacturing, distribution, industrial services, or related industries. Experience establishing intake, prioritization, and governance processes. CAPM, PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification. Experience working within a small, agile IT organization rather than exclusively within large PMO environments.
