Process Improvement Analyst

About the Role:

A Process Improvement Analyst develops or enhances applications and reports for the Allocation department. They are a key player on the project team as the technical analysts creating design, build, and implementation of the project solution. Process Improvement Analysts must leverage business acumen to interpret ambiguous projects requirements and demonstrate creativity in devising technical designs to meet said requirements. They will leverage a variety of technical skills including Excel, VBA, SQL, and database management.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Build and improve tools, reports, and processes using software such as Excel, Access, SQL, VBA, and other data tools.

• Design solutions that meet current business needs while supporting future growth and scalability.

• Follow company technical standards and best practices.

• Deliver high-quality work with minimal errors.

• Continuously learn new technologies and technical skills.

• Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges to ensure successful project outcomes.

Planning & Project Management

• Prioritize and manage your workload with support from project leadership.

• Estimate project timelines and effort requirements, adjusting plans as business needs change.

• Recommend alternative solutions and approaches when appropriate.

• Monitor project progress and proactively communicate risks or concerns.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with team members and business partners across different departments.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

• Share knowledge, best practices, and project learnings with the team.

• Partner with colleagues to resolve operational and production issues efficiently.

• Present project updates and outcomes during team meetings to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred

• 2+ years equivalent work experience

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Efficient verbal and written communication skills

• Retail math, a plus

• Retail software experience, a plus (JDA or Other Allocation Software)

• Ability to independently analyze data sets to solve problem and summarize recommendations

• Advanced SQL (experience storing, retrieving, and manipulating data)

• Advanced VBA, Python, or an equivalent language coding

• Ability to develop and enhance reports, data systems, or applications required

• Experience working within a relational database, particularly SQL Server or Oracle

Additional Details:

• Work hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay Details: $33.00 to $38.00 per hour
