Full job description

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team in Maple Grove, Minnesota. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to support business decision-making, operational performance, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and proven experience in market forecasting, trend analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and models to support leadership decision-making.

  • Use advanced Excel functions to manipulate, summarize, and analyze data, including:

  • PivotTables and PivotCharts

  • XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS

  • Nested IF statements

  • Power Query

  • Data validation

  • Conditional formatting

  • Advanced formulas and financial/statistical functions

  • Build and refine market forecasting models to project sales, demand, revenue, and business trends.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver meaningful analysis.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide recommendations based on findings.

  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reporting systems.

  • Present analytical findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and business-friendly manner.

  • Support budgeting, planning, and strategic initiatives through data-driven forecasting and scenario analysis.

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and increase efficiency through automation and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar analytical role.

  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

  • Experience with market forecasting, predictive analysis, and trend modeling.

  • Strong understanding of data analysis techniques and reporting methodologies.

  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar is preferred.

  • Familiarity with SQL or other data querying tools is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
