Organization: ABSMC-Ashby Campus Position Overview: Make a lasting impact from the very beginning of life. Alta Bates Summit Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Occupational Therapist – NICU to join our specialized neonatal team. In this unique role, you will help support the growth, development, and long-term outcomes of premature and medically fragile infants during some of their most critical moments.

Working in a collaborative Level III NICU environment, you'll partner closely with neonatologists, nurses, speech therapists, physical therapists, and families to provide individualized developmental care. Through expert assessment and therapeutic intervention, you'll address feeding challenges, sensory processing needs, neuromotor development, positioning, and self-regulation skills to help infants thrive and reach their fullest potential.

Beyond direct patient care, you'll play an invaluable role in empowering and educating parents, helping them build confidence as they support their baby's developmental journey both in the NICU and beyond.

What You'll Do Perform comprehensive developmental assessments for premature and medically complex infants. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on feeding, sensory integration, neurodevelopment, positioning, and functional outcomes. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary NICU team to deliver family-centered, evidence-based care. Educate, coach, and support parents and caregivers to promote bonding and developmental success. Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions to meet evolving clinical needs. Maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional patient care. Why Alta Bates Summit?

This is an exceptional opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice with meaningful family-centered care in one of the region's most respected healthcare organizations. You'll work alongside a dedicated neonatal team committed to innovation, collaboration, and improving outcomes for our most vulnerable patients.
