Summary

The Collaborative Services Division provides support and coordination for enterprise systems that facilitate collaboration and information sharing within the agency and the public. This position serves as Branch Chief of the Videoconferencing, Streaming and Operation Branch and is responsible for oversight and coordination of end-to-end A/V technical and operational support, and associated A/V services.

Duties

The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year. We need your expertise if: You're the driving force behind enterprise videoconferencing, webcasting, streaming, and unified communications services that support mission-critical operations, agency-wide events, and business unit needs. You set the standard for technical leadership in AV and streaming systems and infrastructure by evaluating, configuring, testing, deploying, and supporting related hardware, software, and management tools to ensure reliable service delivery. You take the lead in shaping technical requirements, policies, procedures, standards, and best practices for AV and streaming services, live event support, and operational continuity. You're committed to delivering technical AV and streaming solutions by analyzing customer needs and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure effective testing, implementation, and ongoing support. You play a pivotal role in empowering technical staff supporting AV and streaming operations by planning and assigning work, setting priorities and schedules, reviewing progress, and monitoring performance. Qualifications

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service: For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-13. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience supervising or managing technical staff in audiovisual, videoconferencing, webcasting, streaming, or unified communications operations; OR Experience serving as a technical lead or subject-matter expert in the design, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, implementation, or support of enterprise AV/streaming systems and infrastructure; AND 3. Experience working with customers and stakeholders to develop technical requirements, policies, procedures, standards, or service improvements for audiovisual or live-event operations.
