Full job description

Harmony Gardens is hiring Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team in our building in Maplewood, MN. In this role, you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience. Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator.

Position Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible position

Preferred Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm

Wage Range: $22 to $26.82 / hour depending on experience.

Location: 1438 County Road C East, Maplewood, MN 55109

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) responsibilities:

  • Enter physician’s orders with high degree of accuracy.

  • Schedule medical appointments and transportation.

  • Maintain electronic medical records for accurate census data.

  • Provide ongoing customer service to residents, family members and facility visitors.

  • Assist with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.

  • Complete other tasks as requested.

Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) skills and requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification desired.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred but not needed.

  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.

  • Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

  • PointClickCare experience preferred.
