Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a senior-level HR and talent professional for a full-time, three-month contract with a healthcare improvement client. This consultant will partner closely with executive leadership and the HR team to define several confidential leadership positions, translate organizational strategy into clear role requirements, and build the foundation for efficient, high-quality searches. This is not a traditional full-cycle recruiting role. The primary need is a trusted advisor who can facilitate executive-level discovery, align stakeholders, develop strong job descriptions and candidate profiles, and convert leadership discussions into actionable hiring plans. The consultant may provide limited recruiting support, but sourcing and candidate outreach will not be the central focus of the engagement. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with executive leaders and HR stakeholders to understand business priorities, organizational gaps, and the intended outcomes of confidential leadership hires.
  • Lead structured intake and discovery conversations that clarify role scope, reporting relationships, decision rights, required capabilities, and measures of success.
  • Translate leadership vision into polished, market-ready job descriptions, position profiles, and ideal candidate specifications.
  • Facilitate alignment when stakeholders have different perspectives on role design, level, responsibilities, or candidate requirements.
  • Distinguish essential qualifications from preferred criteria to support faster, more focused searches and selection decisions.
  • Develop practical search strategies, interview frameworks, evaluation criteria, and stakeholder communication plans for each priority role.
  • Coordinate confidential recruiting activities and maintain discretion when handling organizational plans, succession considerations, and sensitive candidate information.
  • Partner with internal recruiters and external search firms, as needed, to ensure they have clear, consistent, and actionable search requirements.
  • Maintain project plans, decision logs, role documentation, and progress updates across multiple concurrent executive-level initiatives.
  • Provide additional strategic recruiting support to the HR team as priorities evolve during the engagement.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management or related field
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives or C-suite stakeholders
  • Experience defining leadership roles and creating job descriptions, position profiles, and hiring criteria.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and workstreams in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong facilitation and consultative skills, including the ability to guide ambiguous discussions toward clear decisions and documented outcomes.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to translate business strategy into concise, compelling role documentation.
  • Experience with organizational design, succession planning, leadership assessment, workforce planning, or change management.
  • Experience within healthcare, nonprofit, mission-driven, professional services, or globally distributed organizations.
