Applications Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in healthcare applications and business systems to lead several application transition and implementation initiatives.

This individual will work across business, operational, and technical teams to understand requirements, bring the appropriate stakeholders together, establish project direction, and drive initiatives through completion. The ideal candidate is comfortable stepping into projects where every detail has not yet been defined and can create structure, ask the right questions, and keep teams moving forward.

This role requires someone who is proactive, assertive, organized, and comfortable navigating ambiguity within a complex healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead application and business systems projects from planning through implementation. Partner with business, operational, and technical stakeholders to understand project requirements, dependencies, risks, and priorities. Facilitate discovery conversations and ask the right questions to clarify requirements when project scope or direction is still evolving. Identify and bring together the appropriate stakeholders needed to make decisions and advance projects. Establish project plans, milestones, deliverables, and ownership across project teams. Drive meetings, follow-ups, decisions, and action items to maintain project momentum. Manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities within a healthcare environment. Proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and dependencies and work with stakeholders to resolve them. Provide clear project status communication and maintain visibility across business and technical teams. Serve as the central point of coordination between application teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and other involved groups.

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience managing IT or technology projects in a complex enterprise environment. Project management experience supporting applications and/or business systems. Experience working within a healthcare environment. Experience leading technology or application implementations, migrations, replacements, or similar transformation projects. Ability to manage projects involving both business and technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively when requirements, scope, or solutions are not fully defined. Strong stakeholder management and meeting facilitation skills. Ability to take ownership of a project and independently drive next steps. Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
