Full job description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support long-term research and data validation initiatives in New York, New York. This is a Long-term Contract position focused on building reliable company intelligence through careful analysis of corporate structures, ownership relationships, and transaction activity. The ideal candidate will combine strong investigative research skills with a disciplined approach to data accuracy, organization, and consistency across complex datasets.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate public and internal information sources to compile organized records of companies, related entities, and corporate affiliates.

  • Clean and align company names, identifiers, and reporting structures so information remains consistent across datasets.

  • Map ownership connections by documenting parent organizations, subsidiaries, and other entity relationships.

  • Examine corporate events such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations to capture relevant transaction details.

  • Review and interpret data from multiple sources, then sort, filter, and refine findings according to defined research criteria.

  • Perform validation checks to confirm records are accurate, complete, and formatted to established standards.

  • Identify unclear, missing, or conflicting information and escalate items that require additional research or clarification. Requirements • Experience in data analysis, research, or entity-level information management.

  • Ability to investigate complex corporate structures and interpret ownership or affiliation relationships.

  • Familiarity with fraud analytics, anti-fraud practices, or fraud investigation work is strongly preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate, organize, and reconcile data from multiple sources.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data quality and consistency.

  • Proficiency in identifying discrepancies, gaps, and ambiguous records within structured datasets.
