Job Description

You will drive the full lifecycle of complex CDMO deals: target, qualify, shape, and close. Your command of CGT development, CMC/GMP requirements, and multi-stakeholder enterprise selling will unlock programs that move from concept to clinic—and ultimately, to patients. This role can sit on the West Coast, United States; Pacific Northwest, United States; or Central/Midwest, United States.

Why this role matters

  • Fuel growth where science meets scale: Your wins expand our Advanced Therapies portfolio and accelerate timelines for leading and emerging biopharma partners.

  • Own a strategic region: Lead our Commercial strategy in one of the most influential biotech ecosystems in the world—build a dominant pipeline and elevate our brand presence.

  • Orchestrate from first meeting to signature: Partner with Legal, Commercial Solutions, Demand Planning, Marketing, and Market Intelligence to shape competitive proposals, de-risk timelines, and land agreements set up for flawless execution.

What you’ll do

  • Own net-new revenue for Advanced Therapies in your territory: Build, progress, and close high-value CGT/CDMO opportunities across vector, cell therapy, and enabling platforms.

  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles: Map stakeholders from R&D through CMC, MSAT, QA/RA, Procurement, and Legal; manage evaluations, RFPs, and governance processes.

  • Translate science to value: Position capabilities including process and analytical development, tech transfer, scale-up, GMP manufacturing, QC/release testing, comparability, and PPQ.

  • Build senior relationships: Engage C-suite, functional heads, and program leaders; cultivate champions and executive sponsors.

  • Develop winning territory plans: Use market/competitive intelligence to target high-fit accounts; articulate your how-to-win strategy and accurate forecast to leadership.

  • Shape and negotiate contracts: Align value, risk, scope, and timelines; partner closely with Legal and Commercial Solutions to land compliant, mutually advantageous agreements.

  • Represent the brand: Drive high-impact presence at conferences and tradeshows; convert visibility into qualified pipeline.

  • Partner for execution: Maintain open communication with Demand Planning on capacity; collaborate with sales, product, marketing, and Market Intelligence to drive cohesive strategies.

  • Be accountable and data-driven: Keep systems and leadership current with pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and customer insights.

Technical sophistication expected

  • Deep familiarity with CGT/CDMO services and CMC: AAV/Lentiviral vectors, iPSC/PSC-derived cells, immune cell therapies (e.g., NK/T), plasmid and mRNA, upstream/downstream process development, analytics, and QC.

  • Understanding of phase-appropriate development and regulatory context: Pre-IND through BLA, QbD, tech transfer, PPQ, and comparability.

  • Comfort selling into GMP-regulated environments: Quality systems, compliance expectations, digital tools (e.g., CRM), and enterprise buying dynamics.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years in senior-level business development, account management, or program management within biopharma/CDMO, with a track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.

  • Existing network across biopharma and CGT ecosystems; proven ability to originate and mature net-new opportunities.

  • Demonstrated pipeline discipline and forecast accuracy in long-cycle enterprise sales.

  • Advanced negotiation, presentation, and business-writing skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; science-related field strongly preferred.

What sets you up to thrive

  • Hunter–strategist mindset: You’re proactive, resilient, and skilled at building from zero to one.

  • Executive presence: You influence cross-functional partners and senior leaders with clarity and credibility.

  • Commercial acumen: You know how to position value, defend margin, and align scope with operational capacity.

  • Collaborative operator: You integrate seamlessly with Legal, Commercial Solutions, Demand Planning, Product, Marketing, and Market Intelligence.

  • Clear communication: You make the complex simple—written, visual, and verbal.

Scope and accountability

  • Build and manage a high-quality, high-velocity pipeline aligned to territory strategy and capacity.

  • Facilitate partnerships within the global sales peer group and across FUJIFILM companies.

  • Align closely with global directors on territory growth, portfolio positioning, and market dynamics.

  • Provide structured customer feedback to inform future solutions, differentiation, and win rates.

Your impact from day one

  • Develop and execute a territory plan that targets high-fit accounts across CGT segments.

  • Convert conference and field activity into qualified opportunities with velocity and discipline.

  • Close complex, compliant agreements that accelerate sponsor timelines and deliver sustainable Company growth.

Our culture and values

  • Patient-first impact: We’re driven by improving patient outcomes and partner success.

  • Integrity and quality: We operate with transparency and rigor in GMP-regulated environments.

  • Respect and inclusion: We value diverse perspectives and foster a collaborative, supportive team culture.
