Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 601 E Rollins St City: Orlando State: Florida Postal Code: 32803 Job Description:
- Manages the daily operations of the security department.
- Develops and enforces security procedures and regulations.
- Acts as a liaison to all departments on security measures, procedures, and needs.
- Monitors and follows up on complaints and investigations.
- Assigns responsibilities and tasks to support department function.
- Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and policies/procedures.
- Prepares to exhibit oversight of emergency management plans.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to speak, read and write in the English language [Required]
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
- Ability to communicate and present effectively in both written and oral forms internally and externally [Required]
- Ability to motivate co-workers to function effectively as a team in a challenging environment [Required]
- Ability to assess risk and follow a proactive approach [Required]
- Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time frames [Required]
- Ability to work cooperatively with health system staff [Required]
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to change in workload and work schedule [Required]
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form [Required]
- Strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills [Required]
- Intermediate computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel [Required]
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop alternative solutions [Required]
- Compliance with maintaining confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients, visitors, and/or employees [Required]
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions [Required]
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, law enforcement personnel, and to manage high-stress situations effectively [Required]
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- N/A
Work Experience:
- 5+ years of related experience [Required]
- 2+ years of leadership/management experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:
- Driver's License (DL) [Required]
- International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) [Preferred]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$73,507.20 - $136,739.20 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
