Security Officer - Foot Patrols

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Kendallville, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge processes while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established site procedures.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, facility concerns, and policy violations.

• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.

• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, inspections, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
