POSITION SUMMARY
The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the ongoing risk and credit oversight of an active construction loan portfolio of approximately 300 loans. This individual contributor role ensures the portfolio remains in compliance with loan covenants, supports accurate and timely reporting to leadership, conducts loan reviews and audits, and manages default and workout scenarios as needed. The Portfolio Manager plays a key role in protecting the company's credit quality and ensuring construction loans perform as underwritten.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Monitor an active portfolio of approximately 300 construction loans for covenant compliance, flagging and escalating exceptions as needed.

Prepare and deliver regular portfolio performance and risk reporting to leadership.

Conduct periodic loan reviews and internal audits to verify accuracy, documentation, and adherence to underwriting standards.

Identify early warning signs of credit deterioration and manage default and workout situations, including coordination with internal stakeholders and, where applicable, borrowers.

Maintain organized, audit-ready loan files and documentation throughout the life of each loan.

Partner with underwriting, servicing, and credit risk teams to ensure consistent portfolio management practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Experience
Minimum two year's experience.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Additional Qualifications

Prior experience in construction lending, credit/risk analysis, or loan portfolio management required.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume loan portfolio.

Solid written and verbal communication skills for reporting to leadership and coordinating with internal teams.

Physical Demands

Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.
