Are you a passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) looking to make a meaningful impact in students' lives? We're seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for a school-based opportunity in Bakersfield, CA starting September 14, 2026 .
Join a collaborative educational team and help support students' social, emotional, and behavioral growth in a rewarding school setting.
Position Highlights
? Up to $65/hour local pay
? Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
? Monday-Friday schedule
? Mileage reimbursement provided
? In-person position
? 36-week contract
? Interview-ready opportunity
? Potential for full school year assignment
What You'll Do
? Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP/IHP development
? Provide school-based social work services and interventions
? Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
? Work with families, educators, and support staff to promote student success
? Maintain documentation and compliance with school requirements
? Travel between school sites as needed throughout the day
Ideal Candidate
? Active California LCSW License
? Experience working with children preferred
? Experience supporting students with high behavioral needs and/or special needs strongly preferred
? Strong communication and collaboration skills
? Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites

Minimum Requirements:

Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract and/or facility

May be required to have MSW or LCSW per state, contract or facility

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR if applicable

TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
-
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
