Essential Responsibilities (included but are not limited to) :

  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems for equipment such as injection molding machines, resin handling equipment, hot runner controllers, granulators, temperature control units, tote changers, conveyors, etc., as well as high-speed assembly and packaging equipment.

  • Support operations by finding and resolving chronic electrical issues and problems that cannot be resolved by production associates.

  • Minimize electrical safety risk by ensuring approved procedures are followed and the proper standards are met.

  • Uses PC to interface with PLC’s and peripheral equipment i.e., Rockwell Automation.

  • Find and drive continuous improvement initiatives to completion.

  • Communicate and maintain a favorable rapport with team leaders, engineering, maintenance, and production associates.

  • Aid with the support and deployment of projects throughout MLD/NL/SWAB operations and other areas as directed to support business needs.

  • Enforcing, all local, state, federal and embecta safety regulations, policies/procedures.

  • Compliance with embecta quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality Assurance principles.

  • Ensures compliance through proper communication, training, and education of sound Quality Assurance principles.

  • Responsible for the activities and programs as defined for this position in the Quality Systems Manual.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree (Electronics or related field)

  • Read, write, and speak English

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience related to industrial automated controls.

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Teams, etc.

  • Experience with SAP for PM work orders, ordering of materials, etc.

  • Good technical writing and verbal communication skills, planning and organization skills, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated electrical/mechanical aptitude.

  • Proven ability to logically troubleshoot electrical issues i.e., ability to use electronic/electrical test equipment including VOM, clamp on ammeter, logic analyzer, oscilloscope, etc.

  • Aptitude and adherence to FDA and site regulations for change control.

  • Working knowledge of interpreting electrical & mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to work with minimal direction/supervision.
