Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a ERP/D365 Architect to support a leading chemical manufacturing client. This position will be a contract-to-hire opportunity and can sit remotely for the right candidate working EST hours.
This individual will lead a team of functional consultants across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Power Platform while serving as the primary solution architect for the company’s enterprise business applications. The role combines people leadership, D365 F&O solution architecture, functional expertise, integration strategy, and ERP program delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience across D365 Finance and SCM, a proven background leading enterprise ERP teams and programs, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable application solutions. This person will partner with IT and business leadership to define the enterprise application roadmap, govern solution design, manage releases, and drive continuous improvement across the D365 F&O ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop functional consultants across D365 Finance, SCM, and Power Platform.

Establish team priorities, balance workloads, and manage project assignments.

Provide functional and technical guidance while ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives. D365 F&O Solution Architecture

Serve as the lead solution architect for the D365 Finance & Operations environment.

Design scalable solutions across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Warehousing, Pricing, and Commercial processes.

Lead fit-gap analysis, architecture reviews, solution documentation, and application roadmap planning. Integration Architecture

Architect and manage integrations between D365 F&O and enterprise applications.

Define API, middleware, data-flow, and integration patterns.

Partner with infrastructure, security, development, and external support teams to maintain secure and reliable integrations. DevOps and Release Management

Own the D365 F&O application lifecycle management strategy.

Govern Azure DevOps, source control, deployment pipelines, release management, and change management.

Coordinate releases across Development, Test, and Production environments. Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with the Director of IT Applications to define the enterprise application strategy and roadmap.

Evaluate new Microsoft technologies and capabilities.

Present solution recommendations to executives and serve as a trusted advisor for business transformation initiatives.
Skills and Requirements
- 10+ years of ERP experience, including at least 2 years as an Architect or Lead
- leading enterprise-wide ERP implementations and upgrades
- hands-on configuration experience across D365 Finance and D365 SCM
- 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O:
- integrating D365 F&O with third-party enterprise applications
- experience with Azure DevOps, ALM, and ERP release management
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Solution Architect certification
- Microsoft Power Platform certification (PL-200)
- Power Automate development, Dataverse, and Copilot/Agent deployments (in Power Automate)
- Experience with integrated platforms such as: FlintFox, Coupa, Freight management solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
