Who we want… (Requirements)

  • Currently enrolled in a 4 year degree in Occupational Safety and Health or other related field of study.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Previous Safety internship experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.

  • Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office software and e-mail.

  • We need an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development.

This position requires travel as our projects are scattered throughout the United States and, in some cases outside of the U.S.. The selected candidate can live anywhere in the USA, but would be required to travel to the project site per Gray’s travel policy.

Qualifications

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

  • Perform various departmental and field assignments.

  • Participate in field safety walks.

  • Assist team members with various duties assigned.

  • Oversee safety and health of personnel working on jobsites.

  • Providing corrective action recommendations.

  • Update various records, files and procedures, as assigned.

  • Participate in various job related activities as assigned.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Overtime may be required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear. They are regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel , or crouch. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision.

Frequently in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations. Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud. Overtime may be required.
