Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to support outbound transportation activities for customer orders in St. Petersburg, Florida. This Contract position will oversee shipment coordination from planning through delivery, helping ensure orders move efficiently, meet customer-specific requirements, and stay aligned with cost and service expectations. The role works closely with operations, warehouse teams, customer-facing partners, accounting, and transportation providers to maintain smooth execution and resolve issues that arise in transit. This role has the possibility to go permanent after the contract period.
Responsibilities:

Coordinate outbound shipments from initial planning through final delivery, ensuring timelines and customer requirements are met.

Obtain transportation quotes, evaluate carrier options, and select shipping solutions that balance service performance with cost efficiency.

Arrange pickup windows, delivery appointments, and routing details with carriers, warehouse teams, and customers.

Track shipment progress proactively and address delays, delivery exceptions, or other transportation-related issues in a timely manner.

Serve as a central point of communication among operations, customer operations, warehouse personnel, accounting, customers, and freight providers.

Review freight billing details, reconcile carrier invoices, and help resolve charge discrepancies accurately.

Confirm that shipping documentation, order details, and transportation activities align with customer-specific handling and delivery expectations.

Support continuous improvement in outbound logistics processes by identifying service gaps, communication issues, and opportunities to improve execution.
Requirements
Must have:

Understanding of Excel (spreadsheet management)
-
Strong administrative or relative background and the ability to learn quickly
-
Must be self-motivated and organized
Nice to have:

Experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or supply chain operations

Working knowledge of outbound distribution, carrier management, and freight scheduling processes.

Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, customers, and third-party carriers.

Analytical ability to review freight charges, shipment details, and service performance.

Proficiency with logistics-related systems, spreadsheets, and shipment tracking tools.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to delivery issues and transportation exceptions.
