Summary

THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This ND National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D0878P01 and is part of the ND G4, National Guard.

Duties

The purpose of this position is to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions. Plans, organizes and manages supply and services functions to include command equipment/property readiness/accountability management. Collects and consolidates data for areas in which operations are anticipated. Provides guidance on interpretation of directives and assists units, organizations and activities in supply and services matters. Maintains current command supply analysis on trends of effectiveness and efficiency. Provides guidance to units on supply regulations. Receives fiscal information from each subordinate function to prepare and review budget estimates for the command supply and services functions. Monitors required unit equipment inventories and is active in the development, scheduling and execution of special command physical inventories. Qualifications

Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. To qualify, applicants must have the experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field and the experience using computer and supply automation systems. In addition to the general experience, applicants must meet the specialized experience. The specialized experience is described as one year of specialized experience at the GS 09 grade level or civilian equivalent which includes: 1) Experience analyzing, developing, and evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc.; 2) Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment; 3) Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; 4) Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Applicants who meet one of the DoD Priority Placement Program (PPP) categories below are eligible to apply with this preference.
