Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a bilingual Construction Safety Coordinator to support safety operations on a large-scale Amazon Distribution Center construction project in Austin, TX. This individual will work closely with site leadership, subcontractors, and craft personnel to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and client-specific safety requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting active commercial or industrial construction sites and can effectively communicate safety expectations to both English and Spanish-speaking workers.

Responsibilities: Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits. Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements. Lead new hire orientations and site-specific safety training. Facilitate toolbox talks and daily safety meetings. Identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Maintain safety documentation, reports, and training records. Partner with project management and subcontractors to promote continuous safety improvement. Ensure proper PPE usage and adherence to site safety protocols. Assist with job hazard analyses (JHAs), permitting, and risk assessments.

Required Qualifications: 5+ years of construction safety experience. OSHA 500 Certification. OSHA 30 Certification. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Experience Experience supporting large commercial, industrial, distribution center, manufacturing, data center, or warehouse construction projects. Experience working with multiple subcontractors on active construction sites. First Aid/CPR Certification
