Step into a highly visible leadership role as Sr. Communications Director, shaping how Resideo’s story is told and its reputation is strengthened worldwide. You will lead enterprise-wide earned media, public relations, and reputation management strategies while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on external positioning, messaging, and crisis response. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive, forward-thinking strategist who can build long-term brand value and act decisively during high-stakes, high-visibility moments.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Lead executive communication planning and strategy for Resideo, aligned to business priorities.

  • Develop executive communications materials including decks, talking points, briefing documents, and scripts for internal and external communications.

  • Manage the executive communications editorial calendar and prioritize incoming requests.

  • Develop industry‑relevant points of view and translate them into executive storytelling.

  • Collaborate across teams to integrate customers, partners, and solution stories into executive narratives.

  • Function as a trusted advisor on communication considerations, message risk, and strategic positioning.

  • Lead strategy and execution for executive internal communications including Town Halls, Intranet posts, organizational emails, and leadership messaging.

  • Partner across internal teams to ensure employee communications support understanding of the company strategy.

  • Lead strategy development for executive external communications, including social messaging.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on executive communications and thought leadership efforts.

  • Use insights to refine messaging and executive engagement strategy.

  • Build and execute a proactive earned media strategy across consumer, trade, business, and innovation outlets.

  • Serve as the strategic lead for managing reputational risk and high-impact issues, ensuring readiness and rapid response.

  • Partner with legal, HR, operations, and marketing to align response strategies and protect Resideo's reputation.

  • Lead the development of external messaging frameworks that unify corporate priorities with compelling storytelling.

  • Draft or oversee creation of high-impact communications including press releases, executive remarks, op-eds, media statements, and issue responses.

  • Manage department budgets effectively and efficiently.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the Communications team; set team objectives and provide regular performance feedback.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 15+ years of communications, executive communications, marketing operations, or related professional experience.

  • 10+ years of experience developing internal and/or external communications, including advanced writing and presentation skills in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing a communications team.

  • Demonstrated experience of advising senior executives, including direct collaboration with the C-suite, and providing advanced strategic communications counsel.

  • Experience serving as a company spokesperson and managing media relationships.

  • Deep understanding of media dynamics, crisis response protocols, and brand/reputation positioning.
