Job Description

A rapidly growing client of Insight Global in the AI software industry is looking to add a Senior Financial Accountant to their team. Specializing in software and AI platform development within the government space, this individual will play a pivotal role in helping to grow their finance/accounting functions and processes to better support their clients across the Military and Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate for this role has knowledge across both FP&A and CPA related responsibilities. As a Senior Financial Account, Torch will lean on this individual to help:

  • Lead or support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.

  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate unusual trends, discrepancies, or balance sheet fluctuations.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes by gathering data, building analyses, and preparing meaningful commentary for leadership.

Develop financial models, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses to support business decisions, cost management, revenue insights, and operational performance.

Skills and Requirements

  • BS in accounting or finance

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting

  • Strong understandings of U.S. GAAP, financial statements, account reconciliations

CPA or progress towards CPA Big Four experience

Government or military contractor environment experience
